welcome to
fun portrait of you and your cherished car

Paul Girling has worked in the graphics industry for over 25 years running his own successful design company Greystoke Graphics. During this time he has seen the transition from freehand illustration to the computer generated artwork of today.

Originally London based, in 1996 he made the move to Banham, a small country village in South Norfolk, it was here that he developed his talent to capture a light-hearted cartoon style, a technique inspired by the Asterix cartoon strip and the humour of Patrick Wright, the quintessential English cartoonist.

While Paul uses pastels and water colours for his more formal paintings, he prefers the feel of ProMarkers for his car-toons as they offer a colourful, light and fun medium which compliments his style and subject.

This new venture has given him the opportunity to combine two loves of his life, illustration and classic cars. He has owned a very special 1966 powder blue Triumph Herald since he was 18 years old and during this time has rebuilt it twice and polished it within an inch of its life (check out his Herald website here).

The pair can often be seen at classic car shows around East Anglia and sometimes further affeld, if you spot him, why not say hello?
